I got my bachelors from the University of Central Florida in clinical psychology, and my masters in clinical mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern. Since I was a teenager, I have had a passion for mental health and psychology. To be able to help the community with a career in this field is very beneficial. The approach I take with therapy is to let the clients that I work with know this is their safe space, and their self-care time. The goal in the therapy is to build a solid therapeutic relationship with your client, which allows them to come in and build skills to cope with their daily lives. Stepping into counseling, I started off working with substance abuse, addictions, dual diagnosis of mental health conditions, ASD, and domestic violence. I use multiple techniques throughout my sessions. The two I use the most are CBT and DBT. I work with all ages, and use many methods of therapy, depending on each client and what will suit their needs. I also speak two additional languages – Hindi and Gujarati.
