Priya is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 11 years of experience in community mental health. She has been a PMHNP for over 3 years.  She graduated from Western Governors University with her Bachelor’s in Nursing and received her Master’s degree from the University of South Alabama.

Priya was born in Kerala, India and immigrated to the United States when she was 3 years old. She speaks Malayalam – which is her native tongue – as well as English.  She enjoys spending time with her family and finding new restaurants to try.

One of Priya’s main professional goals is to reduce the generational stigma attached to mental health.   She has treated children and adults with chronic and acute mental health diagnoses in both inpatient and outpatient settings; as well as those who have a dual diagnosis with substance abuse. She specializes in children (6 years and older) and adults with diagnoses of ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depression, anxiety disorders, Schizophrenia, and Schizoaffective Disorder.  She strives to provide a safe and therapeutic environment where she and her patients work collaboratively toward their treatment goals.
